I am a Chartered Tax Consultant and Chartered Accountant with over 4 years’ experience in both tax and accounting in a Top 5 Firm at senior level and within industry. I have previously worked as part the international corporation tax team within Grant Thornton for 3 years. Within this role I have worked on a wide variety of clients in industries such as software, food and beverage, retail and telecommunications. In addition to this, I have worked as a Finance Business Partner within Irish Water, a large government agency.

My experience includes working on a preparing and filing corporation tax returns, liaising with and advising clients on R&D tax credit issues, and numerous tax advisory pieces. On top of this, I have strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent interpersonal skills, whether working in an office or meeting people from outside of my immediate working environment.

Finance Business Partner

Responsibilities working as a finance business partner included:

Responsible for month end reporting of internal business units and local authorities within Irish Water;

Responsible for maintaining relationship between business units and ensuring business units keep to their budget as necessary;

Responsible for uploading accounting journals and reviewing purchases of each business units;

Responsible forecasting spend of each business unit, both individually and in the wider frame of the company;

Heavily involved in business unit processes with a view to improving reporting systems and efficiencies; and,

Preparation of report packs for discussion with each head of business unit and for presentation.
