RICHARD HAUN, PE

PIPELINE AND PIPING STRESS ENGINEER

SUMMARY

A licensed professional engineer with over twenty years of design and stress analysis with shop and field experience in material selections, inspection, installation procedures, pigging, testing and start-up for piping systems, pipelines, outfalls and related structures. Recent work involved very detailed 3D finite element assessment of stress intensification factors at critical welds near heavy forgings and their effects on the final thermal-pressure stress results. Performed engineering stress, fatigue and fracture mechanics analysis over a wide variety of components and systems including onshore and offshore piping, outfalls, loading systems and pipelines including gravity flow, high pressure, high temperature, H2S, CO2, LNG, LPG and PIP systems using commercial 3D modeling and FEA suites.

Coordinated engineering, Cad, machine and fabrication shops for piping and pipeline related component design, fabrication, testing and installation procedures.
