Education

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from S Nijalingappa Medical Sciences, bagalkot during 2002-2008.

Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in December 2014 session.

Experience

1. Served as Junior Resident (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) at Kannur Medical College and Hospital, for 3 yrs. from 10th September 2009 to 10th September 2012. 2. Served as Senior Resident (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) at Kannur Medical College and Hospital, for 1 yrs. from 31st October 2015 to 30th October 2016. 3. Present Working as Assistant professor (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) at Kannur Medical College and Hospital, from 31st October 2016 till now (>1yr). 4. Present Working as consultant in Christuraj hospital, koothuparamba, Kannur from December 2015 till now.

Key responsibilities handled

Patient care

Have been actively involved in patient care for last 15 years, serving through four comprehensive tertiary care institutes with a reasonable load of patients. Conducted various speciality clinics of high risk pregnancy, infertility, gynaec oncology, menopause clinic incontinence clinic, family planning etc.. Apart from taking care of patients at individual capacity, I have been part of the team of surgeons handling a spectrum of responsibilities from diagnosis, surgery, post-operative care to follow up of the patients in the specialty of Obstetrics & Gynaecology,

Operative Experience

Performed and assisted in various major & minor gynaecologic, obstetric, urogynaecology and infertility related procedures including abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, exploratory laparotomy, operations for vaginal and uterine prolapse, myomectomy, reconstructive tubal, uterine, ovarian and vaginal surgery, repair of genital fistulae, tubal sterilization by laparoscopic and abdominal approach, operative and diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, TOT procedures. Has performed more than 250 laparoscopic tubal sterilizations as a Family Planning. Routinely involved in ultrasound scanning for antenatal n infertility patients.

Teaching experience

Teaching and training undergraduate as well as post-graduate students through bedside rounds, specialty clinics and various academic programs like the journal club, seminars, interdepartmental combined clinical/grand rounds.

Actively participated in dedicated specialty clinics like high risk pregnancy, gynaec oncology, menopause clinic, incontinence clinic, family planning. Over last four years have been involved in working up and decision-making in complicated pregnancy and infertility. Administration

Being part of organising committee and host organisation was involved in organising various camps and the departmental records maintenance.

Research activities

Completed thesis on Role of short femur length in mid trimester scan in predicting IUGR and presented in national conference Later have worked on various topics like PIH, malignancy, infertility related to TB, etc.. Also currently involved in pregnancy n delivery topics.
