Electric Energy Usage Prediction System (Individual Project)

Developed a system that optimized the battery efficiency of Totem’s solar power recharging device.

The prediction determined the trend of electric energy usage over time and the battery charging status that included Charge, Discharge, and Idle mode. Both predictions regulate the current energy usage strategy for Totem’s device.

Implemented Random Forest classification and Random Forest regression to determine energy usage strategy for Totem’s device using Java SE, Apache Spark, and Cassandra.

Enhanced the prediction accuracy (10 percent range) compared to the one implemented by R language. Staff Sergeant, Republic of Korea Army 2013. 02. – 2014. 11.

Worked as DevOps in CERT team for electronic authorization system of Second Corps, which controls official documents for military service. Analyzed transaction logs through MySQL that assisted cybersecurity audit.

Maintained Republic of Korea Army intranet in Second Corps with five web servers and war room dashboards.

Tactical Situation Reporting System (Team Project – Full stack developer)

Developed the system to visualize SITREP. It provides dashboards for Second Corps HQ war room and Corps’ Lt. General, so that the commander can get SITREP from 11 different divisions in real-time.

Stozon, E-Commerce Web Application (DB Course Team Project) Fall 2017

Developed the display of search item list, item details with reviews, order process, and a different presentation for the customer and manager. Established an administrator page to control item stock, content, review, and order process that is only accessible by the manager.

Implemented the system using Java SE, Spring Boot, MySQL, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. The backend of the web application was designed by Spring Boot which interacts with MySQL using AWS. Totem Web Application for Data Visualization Spring 2017

Developed a web application as an individual project for the summer internship approval by Totem Power.

Visualized the trend of electric energy usage through a line chart. The chart used a zoomable time series format, which displays the dataset that contains energy usage data over time.

Classification for Positive or Negative Movie Review (Individual Project)

Developed classifiers to judge whether a given movie review text, written in English, is positive or negative.

These classifiers used Perceptron and Naïve Bayes classification and determined more than 80 percent of prediction accuracy from 2000 movie review text files.

K-means++ Clustering for Plant Data (Individual Project)

Developed the clustering to visualize clustered plant dataset collected by their location data.
