Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the Oasis Bursary Programme for the 2017 Academic Year. Please complete this application form in accordance with the instructions below and submit the completed application form to the Oasis Bursary Committee within the prescribed timelines. Kindly ensure that all supporting documentation is included, so that your application can be taken into consideration by the Oasis Bursary Committee.
Should your application be successful, please note that :
• You will not be entitled to accept any other bursary or financial assistance without the express prior written consent of the Bursar, which consent may be withheld at the sole discretion of the Bursar;
• You will be required to maintain a course average of no less than 70% and you will be required to complete the course of study for which the bursary has been awarded. Failure to comply with this will result in any amounts disbursed to you or for and on your behalf becoming immediately due and payable;
• You will be required to enter into an agreement with the Bursar and its administrator, which agreement will more fully detail the above and the remaining terms and conditions upon which the bursary will be awarded to you. You are accordingly advised to carefully consider the above prior to submitting your application as the Bursar follows a stringent selection process and should the above not be acceptable to you, this may result in another deserving student’s application not being considered and would negatively impact the selection process. 1. Instructions to Complete and Submit the Application Form i. Ensure that all fields are completed and all supporting documentation is attached. ii. Use CAPITAL BLOCK LETTERS when completing sections A to C. iii. All copies of supporting documentation must be certified to be true copies of the originals thereof. iv. Incomplete application forms will not be considered. vi. All requested information must be submitted, or an explanation must be given as to why you cannot provide it. Also indicate when the outstanding documentation will be available. Any outstanding documentation must be submitted as soon as it becomes available. You will not be reminded to submit any outstanding documents. vii. Do not attach original documents. Only certified copies must be supplied, as submitted documentation will not be returned to the applicant.
viii. A clear passport-size colour photograph of you must be attached to the top right-hand corner of the front page. ix. Arrange the documents in the order that it appears in the checklist below. Supporting document checklist 1. Completed application form

i. Applications for the 2017 academic year can be submitted via post or online. ii. Applications must be submitted by no later than 1 August 2016. iii. Applications which are submitted online must be submitted as a single pdf document. iv. All applications will be acknowledged by email or post within 2 weeks of receipt. Should you not receive a confirmation of receipt please contact the Bursary Officer on 021-***-****. v. Applications may also be hand-delivered to the Oasis offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. Addresses are included below.
vi. The Oasis Bursary Committee will review all applications and (subject to paragraph vi. below) will communicate the outcome to successful applicants by the end of December 2016. vii. Successful applicants who had written the Matric examinations will only be informed of the outcome of their application as soon as reasonably possible after date of receipt of the applicant’s final matric results. viii. Should you not hear back from us within the timeframes contemplated in paragraph v. (or paragraph vi. above, if applicable), please regard your application as having been unsuccessful. xi. Any determination or decision of the Oasis Bursary Committee as regards the outcome of this application will be final and binding on the applicant and no correspondence will be entered into with unsuccessful candidates.
