Operations Manager for Cardiovascular Departments

November 2013 -Current:

Responsibilities/Skills:

●Provides vision, day-to-day operational oversight, and financial leadership which includes: budgeting and finance, strategic planning (short-term and long-term), and contract negotiations with outside vendors and providers. Responsible for a clinic with net revenue of $1.2 million.

●Provides full-supervisory responsibility for 18 direct reports, including; training, hiring, annual performance evaluations.

●Collaborates and creates working relationships among providers, hospital administration and department administrators.

●Serves as a liaison between our senior adult patient population and our providers, hospital departments and staff when needed; ensuring their needs are being met.

●Successfully transitioned the office to a paperless computer system and revamped and streamlined records storage.

●Mentor to new managers entering the organization.

●Current president of Medical Group Management Association for the local chapter, which provides valuable information about the industry and helps me build relationships in the community.

●Provided administrative assistance and support to the Senior Director of Policy and Procedures for EmployIndy. EmployIndy is a non-profit, workforce development organization dedicated to improving workforce in and around Indianapolis.

●Located educators for a green initiative and coordinated venues for classes and certification programs for Working4green. Working4Green was a new non-profit that was initiated during my tenure that focused on educating a specific group of unemployed. Additional experience with the startup nonprofit includes: grant-writing, funds development public speaking, event coordination, lean training/implementation, budget analysis and leadership development. I was given the leadership responsibility to transition Working4Green from EmployIndy to their own 501c3 nonprofit.

Office Manager for Auburn Internal Medicine

December 2008 to May 2012:

●Began as a staff accountant, prior to finishing my 2nd degree in Accounting, before being promoted to the Office Manager within one year.
