CAPSTONE PROJECT: Final Grade: - A

Designed a dome removal machine for ABC Group, one of the largest manufacturer of car components in North America.

The central idea of the project was to increase efficiency and automate the extrusion removal from car’s blow moulding parts.

Engineered Dyna-Cast as a replacement of Aluminium clamps for quick and easy replacement, making machine more efficient.

Final design was built with off-shelf standard parts, driven by pneumatic actuators and controlled by PLC (Micro logics 1100).

Constructed machine Using 2” x 2” Aluminium profiles as building blocks, thereby increasing customizability of machine.

Final design increased efficiency up to 200%, with ability to change clamps and cut different blow moulding extrusions.

Work Experience

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER Intern 02/2017 to 06/2017

Flexlink systems’ Canada, Burlington, ON

Designed using Autodesk Inventor, tested prototype parts and assemblies resulting in satisfied colleagues and customers.

Prepared and altered CAD models, Detailed drawings, Assembly Drawings and 3D-PDFs in accordance to requirement.

Assisted project managers in 3D-modeling large conveyor systems, hence expediting project designing time by almost 50 %.

Revised operational assembly plans and route sheets for custom conveyor parts making installation almost 35 % quicker.

Documented RFQ’s, drawing packages and Bills of Materials (BOM)’s for making custom projects easier to handle.

Design and Drafted conveyor systems using flexlink 's standard components making the project repeatable over the years.

Generated proposals using FLQT (Quotation Tool) to meet customers' needs and prerequisite demands.
