As an experienced procurement agent for o ne of the largest independent foodservice distributors in the nation, I strongly believe I am highly qualified for this position and sincerely feel as though I would be a valuable asset to the company. Some of my notable experiences that make me an ideal candidate for this position include my comprehensive educational foundation from a reputable business university, m y multiple college co-op experiences at global manufacturers, and my two years of real world experience with multiple aspects of supply chain, including warehousing, procurement, logistics, production planning and inventory management.

In addition to my valuable academic and career experiences thus far, I possess several distinguishable characteristics that will enable me to help this company reach new levels of growth and achievement. I am highly and intrinsically motivated to succeed, I possess a solid work ethic, and I continually aspire to expand my abilities and resources at every available opportunity. Several colleagues have attested to my goal oriented nature, my eagerness to solve problems, my integrity, and my astute attention to detail. There have been several occasions within my current position in which my supervisor acknowledged my level of competency by entrusting me with purchasing workloads that other employees were unable to manage appropriately. Each and every day, I strive for continuous improvement and betterment related to order cycles, forecasting and inventory management. Perhaps the most notable and critical component of supply chain expertise is the ability to create cost reduction and in turn, allow for significant profit gains for a company. ● Consistently managing inventory levels to consolidate and reduce consumed space thus making room for new business or allowing to decrease labor hours. I truly appreciate you allocating some of your time to read my cover letter and hope I have successfully expressed a few of the reasons why I believe I would be a great fit for the position. I am passionate about the work I do and by hiring me, your client will obtain someone who is knowledgeable, hardworking, and will work tirelessly to leave a positive impact on the company. I look forward to soon discussing with you how my experience and abilities can meet the present goals of this plant. Thank you very much for your consideration. Sincerely,
