NYCHA Improving Customer Experience - is a significant, multi-year, initiative that will dramatically improve the way in which NYCHA conducts business with external customers as well as internal customers. NICE will automate manual processes within Leased Housing, Application and Tenancy Administration (ATAD) and Maintenance Operations, as well as expand enterprise-wide successful technology initiatives such as the Call Center and Hand Held Inspections. The technology at the core of NICE will allow documents to be scanned, will create electronic files that can be accessed by those who need them, and will provide standardized inspection programs on hand-held instruments. These changes will significantly reduce the number of times data will have to be entered into the system, and allow staff leased housing voucher holders and tenant’s landlords, and public housing residents to find answers to their questions expeditiously and accurately through multiple mediums, including telephone, in-person and computers. The data in the folders will be dynamic and will allow for automatic scheduling and for multiple people to work on applications and annual certifications simultaneously, thus increasing efficiency.
