TECHNICAL PROJECTS
Development of a tool to increase the viability of Wind turbine by raising the temperature threshold
September, 2017 – December, 2017
• Developed a tool that addresses the generator’s overheating problem by applying a mathematical model to adjust the shutdown threshold.
Page 2
• Aside from the mathematical formulation, by looking at the same problem from the financial point of view, the threshold that gives the breakeven point in terms of payments for the electricity produced by a single wind turbine was calculated.
Design of Robust and Adaptive Controllers for the
control of post-surgical Mean Arterial Pressure(MAP) January, 2017 – August, 2017
• Designed 2 types of robust controllers based on the H Controller design and the μ-Synthesis techniques. The designed controllers were capable of providing 100% stability of the MAP in a high- disturbance environment.
• In addition to this an adaptive controller based on the Model predictive control(MPC) strategy was also developed. These controllers, besides providing very good robust performance, is also able to adapt to variations in the patient’s metabolism.
Design and Development of miniature multiband antennas using metamaterials
June, 2014 – July, 2015
• Analyzed thoroughly 40 different research papers on the effects of metamaterials on antennas within a short span of 2 months.
• Designed 4 Multiband miniaturized antennas by co-operating within a team of 5 members.
• Presented 2 papers on multiband patch antennas to an international audience of experts in the field of electromagnetics at the 36th PIERS, Conference, 2015 held in Prague, Czech Republic. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS
UBC Academic Awards: Master of Engineering International Graduate Entrance Scholarship
