CBDC project was 3.5-billion-dollar Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project of the UAE’s national refinery plant. The project was composed of four packages and marine work. My responsibility was pile / stone column installation and package #2 (civil works). Package #2 contained four process units (hydrogen unit, delayed coker unit, carbon black unit, and coke calcination unit). The total construction cost of package #2’s civil work was $35 million.
- Supervised for installation of Cast In-situ Piles and stone columns in overall project area
- Monitored and supervised civil activities (excavation, rebar, formwork, concrete, backfill, U/G pipe, U/G cable trench, paving, painting, etc)
- Responsible for overall project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, safety, contracts, etc)
- Monitored drawing issue status to obtain a workfront
- Checked constructability through an issued drawings review/study
- Prepared daily reports, weekly progress reports, and client reporting documents
