Manufacturing Manager with extensive experience in lean manufacturing, safety, staffing, purchasing, preventive maintenance, scheduling, forecasting, inventory systems, and design engineering. Experience with quality systems, such as, SQF, AIB, QS 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS 9000, and TS16949. Possesses strong managerial, financial and organizational skills, known for being a manufacturing troubleshooter, I enter areas of manufacturing that lack leadership and profitability and turn those areas around. I have become a leader at training supervisors and coaching improvement teams to exceed their goals of reducing cost and maximizing profits.



Responsible for 10 Production Managers, 22 Mechanics, 110 Operators and work with our support groups; Engineering, Trades, Sales, Purchasing, Scheduling, and Transportation for projects and day to day operations.

Lead Cross Functional Improvement team in our compound area to increase our output for a savings of over $150,000.

I am currently working with all areas of the plant to help create and develop improvement teams to help each area reduce safety incidents, increase quality, reduce scrap and increase efficiencies. These improvement projects will reduce cost by $600,000 this year.


Responsible for 6 Production Managers, 14 mechanics and 70 operators.

I have lead the culture change at Independent Can by implementing 5-S and lean strategies to help increase efficiencies, and make areas of the plant safer and ergonomically correct.

Lead improvement teams to increase production in our compound area over 50% from 3000 parts per hour to over 4500 parts per hour, eliminating the need for overtime in an area that continually worked weekends to keep up with customer demands.

Took over the 2 highest volume areas in the plant and made efficiency gains in each area.

Worked with the quality team this year to develop and implement procedures and policies to help us obtain the highest AIB quality audit in the history of the company.

Developed and implemented lean procedures, documents to engage and help develop a culture of continuous improvement. Achieving over $500,000 in savings from reductions in over time, scrap and increased through put.


Lead the Ergonomic Kaizen in achieving a reduction in lifting for 1 department of over 1/2 million pounds per year.

Decreased set up time in the CNC area by 50% through our Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) event.

Production and OEE levels on 3rd shift were 20% higher than the other 2 shifts.

Developed different tools to help the Stamping, CNC, Tumbling and the Tool Room become more efficient and keep better track of production jobs in their area.

Receive a Bronze Award in the sub assembly area, (The first to do this in the plant).

Developed WIP caps and Job boards in 2 different departments to make them better organized and more efficient.


Reduced Labor by 35%, while increasing Production output by 150% this year.

Production increase has produced $2.1 M in additional sales. Increase production from 170cpph to 420cpph.

Instrumental in overseeing contractors, to create a successful opening of a new juice plant.

Developed the new plant’s SOP’s, GMP’s and other operational procedures.

Designed and engineered new projects and processes in the plant.

Lead and implemented Lean Manufacturing Practices and Procedures throughout the Plant.

Hired and training all mechanics and technicians at the plant.

Managed all aspects of manufacturing in the new plant, from the pressing of the juice, pasteurization, bottling, packaging, scheduling, purchasing and shipping of the final product.
