Re: Position for Senior / Principal Process Engineer or Manager
Gentlemen,
This is in response to your request for the referenced position. I would like to submit my resume for your consideration for this position.
I am a senior / executive level process engineer / manager / director with more than thirty five years experience in process engineering & design / management, project management, facility operations, commissioning, startup and other significant areas of responsibilities in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry, both onshore and offshore.
I have been semi-retired for the last three years due to the latest downturn in the oil and gas industry. In that time period, I have been working on developing some new technologies in the oil and gas industry and am reasonably close to filing applications for patents. Prior to my retirement, I completed my role in the successful process design of two large and small oil and gas production facilities located in west Texas.
I am highly experienced in Process Engineering Management, PFD, HMB and P&ID development, sizing of most process equipment, piping, some instrumentation and controls, rotating and fixed equipment, data sheets; line, valve and instrument lists; white papers, procedures, specifications, Cause and Effects, SAFE Charts, inspection and test plans, RFQ development, project estimating, scheduling, contract review and negotiation, both domestically and internationally as well as ensuring total conformance of the process scope of work within the project schedule and budget.
I am highly proficient in most all business software including Microsoft’s Office 2013, MS Project and process simulation software including HYSYS, AMSYS, PRO- II, / Pro-Vision, T-Sweet and others. I also have several years experience working domestically as well as foreign countries including the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Algeria), Norway, West Africa (Angola, Nigeria, and Ghana), Russia, Malaysia and others. I enjoy traveling both domestically and internationally and find this type of work to be stimulating and challenging.
Once you have reviewed my background and qualifications, I would like to meet with you to discuss how I can assist your company in managing the process engineering portion of your project, by minimizing costs, staffing resources, improving or recovering schedules, maintaining or improving budgets and generally enhancing the performance of each project. If my qualifications meet your requirements, please call me at the above numbers anytime. I will look forward to hearing from you.
Yours very truly,
Michael J. Mulvany
