JOB DESCRIPTION

Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department.

Registration of cards and then assigns rooms, accommodating special

requests whenever possible. To conduct training for staff

Verifies the guest's method of payment and follows established credit- checking procedures.

Property Orientation. Performs cashiering tasks like bill / invoice settlement, posting charges to the guest, paid out foreign currency exchange etc

Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the

hotel

Arrange sightseeing and transport for guest.(pickup & drop

Follows procedures for issuing and closing safe deposit boxes used by guests.

Uses proper telephone etiquette. Uses proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.

Courier mail register

Reads and initials the pass -on log and bulletin board daily. Is aware of daily activities

and meetings taking place in the hotel

Attends department meetings. Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or knows all safety and emergency procedures, is aware of accident prevention policies.

Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.

Understand that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from

their accustomed shift to other shifts

Processes reservations by mail, telephone, telex, cable, fax or central reservation systems referral, reservations from the sales office and travel agents.

Creates and maintains reservation records by date of arrival and alphabetical listing

Prepares letters of confirmation & Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk.

Understands the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows

Processes advance deposits on reservations

To arrange business visa for client.

IDS Making channels arrangements and on the for hotel clients website.travel programs.

Maintains a clean and neat appearance and work area at all times.
