Resident in México (Piedras Negras). Oversaw Product Engineering design for all customers in all facilities (5 Plants / Mexico). Technical liaison for the Hendrickson joint venture (heavy truck spring manufacture).

$7.6 million in combined customer cost savings (VAVE) generated by developing new designs and a new bushing design tool which simplified axial, radial, torsional and coning rate projections at a given material durometer.

Achieved TS16949 certification, enabling company to remain Tier I Supplier after QS9000.

Product Engineering Team Leader (1991 – 1997)

Managed Product Engineering efforts for firm’s Suspension division with team of 15 engineers, technicians, and sample-makers.. Received Joseph Eaton Innovation Award for improved product life and customer satisfaction ratings.

75% reduction in product design errors achieved by collaborating with customers, local design team, and Manufacturing to develop program status review (PSR) that tracked and managed customer requirements weekly.

Designed first modular suspension that used a parabolic spring (metallic and composite substrate technologies).

Corporate Innovation Center, Oversaw five technicians and CAD personnel supporting Quality Assurance. Recipient 1991 Joseph O Eaton Corporate Innovation Award for R&D efforts; 1 of 3 in the company to win this annual award (4000+ employees).
