The Tax Accounting System has been developed to help customers track the impact of their investment decisions related to the IRS Complicated Cost Basis Accounting rules.

Responsibilities

Discuss with business partners to find the solutions for reporting cost basis information accurately for Equities and various types of Corp Actions.

Verifying position balance reports after every night cycle and find the root cause for failed positions

Life Insurance Corporation is an Indian state-owned insurance group and investment company. It is the largest Insurance company in India.

LIC had their application for the agents and LIC employee driven by Microfocus Cobol running on Unix. The data was not centralized and it was maintained on indexed files. The project was to convert the application into a 3-tier system – Front end screen using Java, supported by Microfocus Cobol at the back end, with the data on MySQL. Next Phase of the projects were consolidation of database across branches and performance enhancement.

Responsibilities

Involved in the inventory analysis of Health Insurance and Office services module and detailed analysis on the files, which were to be converted into tables.

Part of POC team, for Database consolidation and Performance enhancement of current system.

Preparation design for the conversion and prepare the test plans.

Client liaison for any issue clarifications/escalations, development, perform Unit testing and Support System testing

Provide support for QA Testing, get code and test result sign-off from the client

Norwich Union Insurance was the name of Aviva Insurance’s British Arm before June 2009. In UK, Aviva is the largest general insurer and leading life and pension provider.

The Distribution review was to re-organize the branch codes present in database for the agents, as there was a cut down in the number of branch/region codes. The impact was in the reduction in the number of regions.

The other project was to develop a REXX tool, which would take in a set of programs, and search for keyword ‘NU’ or ‘Norwich Union’, and change it to ‘AVIVA’, as Norwich Union Insurance was re-branded as Aviva Insurance.

Responsibilities

Analyze and propose an approach for the requirement, prepare the design and unit test cases, Code Construction

Review the design and code artifacts and correct for any errors.

A REXX tool was coded, which changed the keywords ‘NU’ or ‘Norwich Union’ to ‘Aviva’ in about 500 programs.

Property Third party project is to support third party functionality for property policies. All the Billing functionalities like maintaining customer accounts, calculating monthly installments, generating bill, payment processing, processing of cancellation in payments, refunds and reinstatement of policies were available for the Third party.

Responsibilities

Analyze the system, and prepare design documents for the requirement.

Development of new programs/enhancement to the existing programs to support the requirement.
