Process Control Engineer 1996-2005

Activities included technical writing, project definition and scope generation, process line troubleshooting and maintenance (PLCs and DEC VAX), participating on department safety committee, maintenance of three contracts for plant-wide UPS and battery maintenance, liaison between home department and assigned production department, HTML development and level II software development on DEC VAX.

Designed and Implemented software diagnostic tool to graph process control variables for a tandem mill to reduce troubleshooting time. Code was in fortran using FMS (Forms Management System) on VAX VMS platform. Training class was developed and presented to maintenance and operating personnel.

Software development was in fortran on DEC VAX VMS platform. Tasks included modifying turn and daily reports as requested, troubleshooting code problems as reported, tailoring fortran code for interface to new shape system computer, and monitoring system performance.
