Maintained all existing company patents, submitted 8 new patents.

Investigated all QC problems in the field, developed and implemented CAPA’s at the overseas factory in response to the QC problems in the field.

Worked with oversea manufacturer of electric motors to develop a brushless DC motors for use in ceiling, substantially reducing the energy consumption of a ceiling fan.

Researched and developed a patented technology to reduce the amount of copper wire used in a ceiling fan motor. Generated a cost/benefit analysis for implementing the new motor design. Negotiated the rights to the patent with the inventor. Tested and implemented the technology. Expected cost savings of 4 million dollars annually in copper used in ceiling fan motors.

Reviewed all current ceiling fan product lines and found 2 million in cost savings.

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – WaterPik Technologies, Ft. Lauderdale, FL – 5/2004 to 2/2006

Job duties included: Support the production floor that produces Pool Heat Pumps for pool heating and cooling, resolve and correct all production floor quality issues and vendor related quality issues. Provide manufacturing input to the design process for new products. Design all production and Quality test fixtures for all current and new products.
