Oracle Database Developer on United States Army Contract
Using Oracle PL/SQL to modify and enhance the current EKMS application. After analyzing the requirements, I used PL/SQL to modify database packages and procedures as needed. Developed enhancements using the SCRUM/AGILE methodology.
After reviewing requirements, coded various PL/SQL procedures, functions and packages. Changed queries using PL/SQL that were working incorrectly and/or running slow.
Enhancements and modifications were completed on time during our two week sprint cycle. Code was unit tested and peer reviewed before getting checked into CM.
I used SQL Navigator as the development in an Oracle 11G environment. I used PVCS for checking code in to CM and used MERANT Tracker to document changes made to the system

Improved system performance significantly by modifying PL/SQL packages and procedures to eliminate the use a large table and its indexes.
I used TOAD and Oracle Developer tools to code changes in our Oracle 11G Database.
Analyzed the Coast Guard’s Maritime Global Awareness Network (MAGNET). Identified many significant data issues with MAGNET’s search capability. Researched PL/SQL database packages and documented methods to improve the system’s data integrity
Completed data extracts for Coast Guard users using TOAD, PL/SQL and MS SQL Server.
I coded various procedures and triggers using MS SQL Server T-SQL to load various data files into the Oracle 11G Database.
