My career includes 20+ years of experience in Automotive, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods (FMCG). Director of Operations

Main Responsibilities and Accomplishments:

Management of the Manufacturing Operations including: Production, Supply Chain, Engineering/Maintenance, R&D and Quality.

Monthly analysis of P & L variations.

Monthly SOP revisions.

Elaborate and control Yearly Operational Budget, I manage 40% of the Plant Budget and Inventory value.

Proposal and justification analysis for CAPEX projects.

Management of Manufacturing Operations including: Production, Maintenance and Quality.

Elaborate and control the Annual Operational Budget.

Analysis of proposals and justification for CAPEX projects.

Plant start-up including: Develop and document processes including Work Instructions, Checklist, Core Tools (Flow Chart, Control Plan and AMEF) as well as the hiring and training of the operational work template.

Perform internal ISO / TS 16949 and safety audits.

Based on Pareto analysis, it drives the actions to achieve production and maintenance goals for the finishing department (increase MTBF from 4 Hr to 125 Hr).

Implement TPM and participate in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) workshops.

Monoblock Finishing Leader

Main Responsibilities and Achievements:

Production management of 3 high-volume machining lines, 2 transfer-type machining lines and 5 CNC machining centers, 2 thermal treatment lines and 3 pre-machining lines.

Plant start-up including: Develop and document processes including Work Instructions, Checklist as well as the hiring and training of the operative work force.

Conduct internal audits and participate in QS9000 external audits.

Savings projects for operating expenses and processes.

Coordinate the resolution of problems and improvements with other areas such as: Quality, Projects, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Laboratory CMM, etc.

I started as CNC programmer, responsible for developing machining facilities and programs for new products, maintaining a Cpk> 1.33.

Participated in the successful start-up of the Monoblock Finishing area to participate in the selection and validation of production equipment such as band saws, high volume machining lines, high pressure washers, air leak testers, heat treatment furnaces with hardening in water and air, accessories for CNC machining centers, etc.
