Research Projects

Order forecasting model Primeline Corporation, Bridgeport, CT August 2017 – December 2017(6 Months)

Developed an order forecasting model of sales order of previous 6 months using Microsoft Excel.

Used two main forecasting methods (Moving average and Exponential smoothing method) to forecast the next order.

Optimization of the model has been done by Microsoft Excel Solver to get an optimum forecast order.

Forecasting model has been improved by nearly 50% then the previous model. Warm vs Tap Cold vs Cold: A Water Boiling Experiment University of New Haven, CT August 2017 – December 2017(6 Months)

Full factorial design of 3 levels and 3 factors has been set up to examine the most affected factor to response variable

(boiling point of water).

Observed the results of experiment by normality plot, Residual plots and ANOVA in Minitab.

Final decision has been made by observing the interaction plots between all three factors. TSA (Transportation Security Administration) San Francisco International Airport Security Simulation University of New Haven, CT

August 2017 – December 2017(6 Months)

Airport security check has been simulated in ARENA Rockwell simulation software.

Total animation of TSA checking has been made and taken by different WHAT IF cases and final decision of simulation was made.

It was observed that if airport authority makes different channels by number of bags and speed of employee to checking bags, then queue can be reduced by 30%.
