DIRECTOR OF HEDGE FUND STRATEGIES – VOYA (previously ING Investment Management) – Operating as Excel Consultant
Worked with the Management Committee and Head of Alternatives to develop and execute strategies to build and grow ING’s Global Asset Management business.
Led implementation efforts to integrate nine asset management acquisitions into an effective head office reducing costs by multi-millions and significantly improving efficiency and business profitability
Expanded the NY based Alternatives business globally establishing offices in London, HK and Tokyo.
Instituted an open architecture platform to grow revenue streams and capture capacity of top-tier third-party Fund Managers through; acquisitions, affiliations, and distribution arrangements.
Created and implemented the investment banking strategy and tactical plan for a long-term ING Global Strategic Relationship with a Middle-Eastern Royal Family and its businesses. Created a new to market combined $Multi-Billion Global Alternative Investment Fund, dynamically allocated and comprised of; HFs, HFOFs, Private Equity and Real Estate. This initial vehicle was designed to transfer cutting-edge knowledge and capabilities to ready the new JV to become one of the financial leaders in the Middle East. Strategic objective – identify, co-invest and support the redeployment of oil driven surpluses diversifying investment streams into non-related industries and then partner with the Royal Family to help expand the investment industry headquartered in Abu Dhabi.
Performed in an M&A / Investment Banking role to Introduce, lead due-diligence, negotiate and became the lead interface for ING’s equity stakes in third-party Alternative investment companies. Product lines spanned high alpha producing; HFs, HFOFs, HF Seeding, Private Equity, Structured and Hybrid Alternatives.
