Senior Systems Analyst

Management

* Lead clinical, end-user projects by preparing and managing functional specifications, project plans and interacting with IS, end-users, and upper management to complete and implement project plan.

* Perform workflow analysis, completes flowcharts and related documentation as necessary.

* Lead each stage of the project: implementation, training and support of the projects. Develop segments of plan to include resource needs.

* Implemented ED Fast Track technology setup – setup and configured PC’s, prescription, label, and prescription printers. Made sure applications (Softlab, Quest, EMSTAT) were working correctly and able to print lab labels, prescriptions, patient charts, etc. Made sure ports were active and devices could read from network.

* Implemented closing of Team Triage in ED by making sure ports were deactivated, PC’s, printers, telephones, etc. were moved and routed to a new location.

* Assisted with Epic PC Refresh before go-live – giving requirements of ED PC layout, system requirements needed to have Epic Playground (testing environment) and EMSTAT installed – embedded thin client (WYSE device) vs. fat client(regular PC) on the same PC until Epic go-live and then EMSTAT would be removed.

* Making sure at cut-off before go-live no more patients were entered in EMSTAT and current patients left in the software get moved to Epic.

* Help unit secretary, nurses, physicians, techs of any Epic training or PC issues during go-live.

* Attended EPIC super users training classes for the ED portion of Epic - ASAP module.

* On call 24/7 for any IT issues arise in the ED.

* Design and implement discharge phone call back system which improved Piedmont’s Press Ganey patient satisfaction scores by 40 percent.

* Design EMS tracking system to measure EMS turnaround times in the ED.

* Monthly ad hoc reporting of ED data to different departments within Piedmont using Microsoft Access.

* Run daily stats for Piedmont Hospital ER to monitor their ED door to Doc, time in department, patient census, bed optimization, and other ED measures using Access, SQL Server, and Excel

* Monthly ad hoc reporting of data regarding the Alaris pumps – errors caught from drugs given on the Alaris pump, overrides, etc.

* Monthly ad hoc reporting to Piedmont Heart Institute regarding chest pain and AMI ED data for Piedmont Atlanta and Piedmont Fayette needed for their chest pain accreditation.

* Part-time technical support for Piedmont Fayette on EMSTAT software issues and creating ad hoc reports.

* Worked with Legacy on how long to keep EMSTAT system active before archiving and moving data to a new server so ED directors could access the old patient charts as pdf’s after Epic go-live.

* Develop and maintain ED intranet website.

* Maintain and customize ED screens in EMSTAT and PhysDoc software.

* Troubleshoot any IS issues the ER Physician billing vendor (Intermedix) had remoting into Piedmont network.
