PROFILE
My name is Marisa Borth and I am looking to enter the medical field. I have worked as a caregiver for the past three years. I currently work with an adult with Autism, and have worked with schizophrenia, PTSD, Borderline, etc in the past. These two jobs have allowed me to build great skills in patience, and organization along with communication skills. I am efficient in computer skills such as word and excel. I have had the responsibility of passing medications and administrating insulin, therefore have been able to build strong time management skills. I also have experience in scheduling . Prior to my caregiver positions I was the Head Lifeguard at my local YMCA. This job consisted of me scheduling and organizing swim lesson schedules, as well as the lifeguard weekend rotation schedule. I love working with people and being organized.
EXPERIENCE
Lifeguard/Head lifeguard/ swim lesson instructor, YMCA, Spencer, IA 2008-2016 Responsibilities included but were not limited to; testing pool chemicals multiple times a day and documenting to maintain safe levels of chlorine in both hot tub and pool. Supervised water temperature in all three pools. Opened the pool each morning and cleaned to ready it for pedestrians. Watched and maintained the safely of pedestrians within the pool area while enforcing rules. Had own swim lesson classes as well as private lessons. Set up lesson plans to best benefit each child. Work in Home with 18 year old man with Autism. Assist with day to day hygiene needs, as well as other chores. Assist in meal planning as well as preparation. Work on goal setting and assist with the quality of day to day life. Organize is weekly schedule to get him to appointments when needed and work hard to keep his day has stress free for him as possible. Also administer daily medications as well as insulin, and also keep track of blood sugar throughout the day.
