Key member of project team responsible for ensuring quality control and quality assurance is maintained by sub-contractors in the construction of the fourth largest coal fired power station in the world. Responsible for the construction of 6 x 794MW Coal fired boilers in Lephalale, Limpopo.
Duties
Ensuring Employer / Site regulations with regard to work safety and environment preservation are maintained.
Supporting, Training and Coaching of QC Inspectors and Unit Supervisors in inspection techniques and Reporting.
Identification of TM QA Dept. inspection interventions in providing an assurance of quality, actual inspection and / or testing activities relevant to construction and testing works to determine product compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, codes & standards and project contract documents and overall technical integrity.
Sample review of Supplier Databooks for statutory work and Quality Dossiers for non statutory work at 30%, 70% and 100% completion.
Identification of the availability and correctness of verification documents.
Provide technical guidance for Level 1 & 2 SAQCC inspectors.
Liaising with design engineers to clarify any issues on P&ID and isometrics. Monitor and continuously review HS & E.
