Modify existing software to correct errors using various debugging techniques, adapting software to new hardware or improving the current software’s efficiency through performance tuning techniques.

Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time, cost and resource constraints, as well as future maintenance and enhancements.

Confer with systems analysts, engineers, developers and others to design solutions and to obtain information on project limitations, capabilities and performance requirements.

Analyze, design, develop and modify software solutions, using POC analysis and models to predict and measure the outcome and consequences of designed solutions.

Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.

Mentor, supervise and train other developers, technical analysts and engineering personnel on various aspects of development, tools usage, processes and procedures.

Determine system performance standards, ensuring development solutions’ efficiency.

Coordinate software system installation with customers, functional and business analysts and monitor equipment and software functionality to ensure specifications are met.

Analyze post-development data to determine, recommend, and plan future enhancements, layout changes and equipment modifications in an ongoing effort to maintain peak system efficiency.

Approve of new development solutions as part of a Technical Design Review Committee.
