Professional Experience

While my work experience is in the medical profession, the management and customer service skills are suitable for most positions dealing with individuals.

1975 - 2013

Quest Diagnostics Inc

Teterboro, NJ 07608

While working at Quest Diagnostics I had several different management positions in the Laboratory Management Group. The Teterboro facility was the largest clinical laboratory in the United Stated, processing over 8,000,000 patient samples per year. While handling the specimen volume, the departments were able to reduce cost by 5% and increase the test menu with 15 new procedures a year. My positions required both day-to-day operations and long term planning.

Most of my time involved working with various laboratory departments including, Serology, Chemistry, Immunoassays, and Microbiology. My daily tasks included scheduling, training, quality control, and client inquiries. Long term tasks included budgeting, cost reduction, method improvements, and government compliance.

My last position was the manager of the Laboratory Information Group. The group was responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the LIS system (QLab). The LIS was involved with all aspects of laboratory testing and billing.

Besides the management responsibilities, I was involved with Medical Technologist (MT)

training, the Safety Committee, and the Corporate Best Practice Team.
