Actively seeking a full-time opportunity in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Motivated, team-oriented mechanical engineer with deep understanding in the field of Thermal /Thermal Design. Theoretical as well as practical knowledge and application of concepts in thermal analysis, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics. SKILLS

• Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) – SOLIDWORKS, PTC Creo, GD&T, AutoCAD, ABAQUS, ANSYS.

• Simulation Software - ANSYS FLUENT, ANSYS CFX, ANSYS Icepack, ANSYS FloTherm, MATLAB.

• MS-Office, C++, Fortran.

EXPERIENCE

Graduate Research Assistant at Turbomachinery and Energy Systems Laboratory. August 2015 – December-2017 The University of Texas at Arlington

Solver development for compact counter flow Heat Exchanger and Solid oxide fuel Cell (SOFC) stack

• A Finite Volume (FVM) Numerical Heat Transfer technique is used to solve the governing equation for fluid flow and heat transfer.

• 1D and 2D Energy Equation is solved to model heat transfer through conduction, 1D convection diffusion Equation to model heat transfer due to fluid flow.

• Chemically Reacting gas mixture is modelled to simulate reacting flow.

• Thermodynamics species balanced, chemical kinetics are formulated to simulate species composition.

• Programming work is done using C++ and MATLAB.

Mechanical Engineer, Shri Rameshwar Rubber Industries, Mumbai, India June 2014 – July 2015 Worked on AutoCAD design software, helped the production unit with understanding the drawings, process, supervision of the manufactured product with respect to the standard design specifications. EDUCATION

The University of Texas at Arlington August 2015-December 2017 Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, GPA: 3.75/4 Courses: Conduction and Convective Heat Transfer, Numerical Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD), Electronic Packaging, CFD in Electronic Packaging, Finite Element Analysis(FEA), DFM. University of Mumbai July 2010 – May 2014

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, GPA: 3.33/4 PROJECTS

• Solver for Inviscid Burger’s equation: A MATLAB code was developed to solve the Burger’s equation using Lax method, Lax-Wendroff method, MacCormack method, Upwind method, Runge-Kutta-2 method, Runge-Kutta-4 method. Analysis based on critical time step, different grid size was performed. A stability analysis based on CFL criteria was studied.

• Solver for Poisson equation: A MATLAB code was developed to solve the Poisson’s equation using the Jacobi method, Gauss-Seidel method, Point Successive Over-Relaxation(PSOR), Line Successive Over-Relaxation(LSOR), Alternate Direct Implicit(ADI) method, Accuracy of all the methods was compared with the analytical solution. Accuracy in terms of number of Iterations required for convergence was studied for all the above methods.

• Simulation using ANSYS Fluent: Analysis of a counter flow Heat Exchanger, Analysis of Fluid Flow in a helical pipe, Flow through a nozzle, Flow over a cylinder.

• Simulation using ANSYS Icepack: Coarse and Detailed CFD modelling of a Finned Heat Sink, Application of Icepack modelling for investigation of thermal enhancement on flip chip plastic ball grid array (PBGA) package, Fluid flow and heat transfer characteristic of cross-cut heat sinks.

• Thermo-acoustic refrigerator development: A prototype of Thermo-acoustic refrigerator was developed, the project dealt with physics related to sound and Thermodynamic concepts.

• Modelling and finite element analysis of retaining ring and Reed Valve: Conducted a thorough analysis for material selection based on the given design specifications and operating conditions. Modelling as well as analysis using convergence study based on element and different mesh selection using ABAQUS . CERTIFICATION &ACTIVITIES

• Diploma in Product Design and Analysis, CADD CENTER TRAINING SERVICES (certification no: M150283287 )

• Certification in Electronic Packaging, University of Texas at Arlington

• Carbon Credit workshop, Renewable and Sustainable Energy, University of Cambridge.
