Objective

More than twenty five years of experience as Chemical Process Engineer and in some periods as Process Manager as well. During this period, I was involved in projects ranging from Feasibility Studies, Conceptual Designs, Basic Engineering Design Data (BEDD), Front End Loading (FEL), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detail Engineering in EPCM Companies attending diverse industrial sectors such as: Biofuels (Bio-Refineries), Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Refineries, Furnace, Onshore & Offshore Facilities, Utilities, Water Treatment Systems and Firefighting Systems. I have an In-depth knowledge in the Process discipline, with well-developed skills in practices and principles of engineering and total knowledge of the development of a project. I gave support on site for commissioning, installation, and start-up of equipment at Pemex facilities in GOM. As Process Engineer Manager, I can coordinate, monitor, evaluate, estimate and quantify the activities to be developed in the project/proposal during the different stages of the project.

Qualifications as Chemical Process Engineer

A. Management/General qualifications:

1. Coordinate, analyze, prepare, evaluate, quantify, develop, execute, monitor, and deliver all the activities related Process/Project Engineering area such as: Diagrams, Documents, and Calculations on-time, according with schedules, budget, technical specifications, customer requirements, quality system using international and local regulations, norms, codes, standards of engineering, using adequate software tools in order to deliver better products and work in a team environment with process colleagues and others disciplines involved in the project. 2. Performing process studies and design development parameters, analyze project specifications, work scoping and performing design simulations

(using simulators software) to select the best solution from several alternatives, analysis of equipment operation and recommending solutions

(assess and determine process studies) in order to achieve the best process optimization in the lowest cost. 3. Establishing guidelines to be followed during developing of projects (Design Basis and Process Mechanical Design Criteria). Following appropriate international and local regulations, norms, codes, and standards of engineering. 4. Supports the Sales Team, providing design and technical expertise to ensure accurate quotations, control expenditures within limitations of project budget.

5. I can implement new, modified, revamp or upgrade process equipment from new conceptual technology using appropriate process optimization simulation analysis. Including process equipment costs estimates. 6. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design problems. 7. Acts as liaison between management, quality, and the customer to review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and related specifications.

8. Learning and practicing new technologies. Maintaining update knowledge of technology trends. 9. Coordinating with sales department on preparation and presentation of proposals, attending client meetings and market opportunities related to process area.

10. Analyze project specifications and inquiry requirements; develop design parameters and guidelines accordingly. B. Specific qualifications:

11. Planning and schedule work flow, including coordination of proposal/projects and deliver all the documents, calculations and drawings relates to the project.

12. Interfacing with Client, Vendors, and ensure all the interfaces to partners are clearly defined and correctly engineered (Piping, Drafting, Mechanical, and Instrument & Control groups).

13. Preparing, developing and deliver FEED, eBEP, IFI, IFA, IFHazop, released for Engineering, Approved for Design, IFC, and As-Built issues.

14. Using common sense and criteria (reviewing project information) to apply international and local regulations, norms, codes and standards of engineering as ISA, API, ANSI, ASME, ASTM, NFPA, EPA, AWS, FM, OSHA and UL. 15. Preparing engineering calculations as required. Solving in-depth queries in a methodical manner independently and with internal and external co- workers to find appropriate solution.

16. Performing, Preparing/Editing Process drawings and documents including: Developing Design Basis (project premises), UFDs, BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, performing H&MB, Mechanical Line List (including piping information), Simulations Scenarios, Equipment / instrument Data Sheets, Process Equipment Sizing (Design), Equipment Specifications, PSV sizing (scenarios), Interface Table, Hydraulic Calculations (Line Sizing and pumps), Control Valves, Heat Transfer Calculations, using appropriate software and 3-D Model Review. Also doing Technical Evaluations Tables of New/Modified Equipment. 17. Relief Valve Contingency Scenarios Analysis & Sizing. Performing flare system sizing using adequate software. 18. Assist/support to plant management: In the selection of proper components, engineered materials, and wear parts for maximum effectiveness and minimal cost. Also, to assist/support to operation, production, control and maintenance, in construction in order to improve and/or increase yields or to determine degree of control over variables such as (P, T, den, sp. gr, flow rate, etc). 19. Analyze operating procedures, for equipment and machinery function to reduce processing time, and energy costs. 20. Propose changes in process (propose new process schemes) and equipment required by changes in product specifications and productivity requirements.

21. Attending contractors, coordinating activities and reviewing technical information from/with them. Management engineering change log during all cycle life of the project in order do not increase the budget and to know what is the evolution of the project. 22. Participating in safety evaluation/studies and risk analysis/review HAZOP/PHA sessions. Also, assisting in Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments using the Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) methodology, and assist to HSE as needed. 23. Supplying process information to other Disciplines as: Piping, Civil, Instruments, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, stress, construction inquiries, technology, control, mechanical area, utilities, etc., in different phases of a capital / EPC projects.
