Hot rolling mill designed by “Danieli - Morgardshammar” having 14 stand continuous 2-slit mill and BGV having 08 stand can roll from Rb8.0mm to Rb40.0mm.

Erection & commissioning Stage Activity-

Responsible for ensuring good house-keeping and safety measure.

Identifying areas of quality failures and taking steps to rectify the system wide preventive and

corrective actions to avoid the reoccurrences

Managing erection & commissioning activities involving resource planning, team building and coordination with internal / external departments for Bar Mill Project.

Keeping an alert eye & maintaining strictness regarding safety measures according to the policies of JSW Steel Ltd.

Checking the installation of machines as per provided general assembly (G.A.) drawing provided by the suppliers.

Machining different types of rolls for bar mill and guide rollers. Responsible for maintenance, assembly & disassembly of stands, servicing of guides, chocks.

Handling CNC machines of ATOMAT & programming for roll pass of bar mill.

Spares management for Mill stands and Guide boxes, Tooling of CNC machines, tools & tackles.

Made ready documents & keeping records of I.S.O., T.P.M. & 5S activities,

Planning the rolling schedule with the HOD.

Preparing daily planning sheet as per the rolling sequence.

Maintain guides, rollers, delivery strippers, entry statics as per the rolling sequence requirement.

Maintain history for monoblock stands, rolls chocks & guide box.

Maintain records of TC rolls, cast rolls & roll pass tonnage records.

Maintain TC roll grinding machine, diamond wheels & spares for grinding machine.

Maintain all precision equipment and calibration records.

Watch out & communicate with purchase & store on incoming material.

Coordinating with the Operation shift In charge to avoid delays & breakdowns.
