Ping Ball Robot handling Project:

I am leading a team of 4 working to deliver robot which is able to move in all directions, pick up a ping pong ball, climb a staircase and launch ball 3 meters in horizontal directions. My responsibilities include:

Design robot and arms assembly using 3D cad tools for assembly and stackup analysis

Create a full assembly bill of material (Motors, Arms, Batteries, solenoid, sensors.) and procure all parts.

Identify and procure Arduino board suitable for managing the robot tasks.

Programmed Arduino UNO in C/C++ to work with open source applications to control servos, brushless dc motor, solenoid (used for launching ping pong ball).

Used USB HOST SHIELD and connected Bluetooth dongle to allow wireless connection with PlayStation 3 controller

Used motor shield in combination with USB host shield to control 1 Brushless DC Motor, 2 servos, 1 solenoid with single PlayStation controller.

Created front steering axle for robot and rear driving axle.

Develop all documentations necessary to complete the projects. This include: Function Analysis, House of Quality, Work Breakdown Structure, Functional Model (Level 1 & Level 0), and Gantt charts

Manufacturing Engineering Intern Weyerhaeuser 6/2016-9/2016

Used V basics to create excel Production Reports for Sawmill, Finish Mill, and Debarker which then used as new standard

Worked alongside other interns and Engineering Manager to construct Analysis sheet for Sorter Drive

Created and implemented new Tags from PLC data, and wrote simple PLC code to optimize production flow

Received an outstanding Intern Report at the tenure end as well as invitation to dinner with Sr. Management

Volunteer Dynamic Robotics Laboratory, Oregon State University 12/2015 – 6/2016

Aided graduate students and professors working on Robotics project in a variety of technical areas

Worked with composites, using molds to create carbon fiber shells

Designed molds for the carbon fiber shells in SolidWorks

Summer Camp Counselor YMCA Camp Collins / Gresham, Oregon 6/2012 – 8/2013
