Responsibilities:

Conduct and or participate in safety audits for Contractors and Sub-Contractor.

Carry out risk assessment as directed by the Clients senior Safety Engineer.

Review and comment to the Project Manager, on site safety organization and key personal CVs as submitted by the Contractors.

Review Safety Procedure as submitted by the Contractors and ensure implementation is in Compliance with Contract requirement.

Review Inspection, test, and plans as submitted by the Contractors and ensure compliance with safety requirement.

Ensure all activities on site are in compliance with safety procedure in respect of the format signed off by Contractors Safety Engineer.

Checking proper maintenance, calibration and operation of all safety equipment at site and office.

Review Contractors safety records, documents to ensure major construction equipment is maintained regularly.

Ensure Contractors safety training for site laborers is regularly maintained.

Ensure Contractors laborers on site are following safety procedures and report to project Manager in case of deficiency.

Closely monitor site activities on a daily basis, issuing non- compliance report to the project Manager.

Participate in Bi-weekly and executive meeting.

Maintaining close liaison with the Client’s and Contractor’s Safety Personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Hazards identification and preparation of risk assessment associated with all works.

Preparing HSE plan as per UAE federal law, Abu-Dhabi municipality rules and regulations and Management

commitment to employees

Planning, monitoring and implementing HSE programs.

Conducting emergency mock drills.

Investigating the cause of any accidents/dangerous occurrences/near misses.

Dealing with Enforcement authorities, fire and rescue teams, civil defense, specialist Health practitioners & Medias.

Conducting safety audit and safety survey.

To review designs of new projects & plant modifications to ensure all safety requirements are included and provide recommendation.

Conduct HSE induction to new employees upon arrival and also conduct relevant HSE courses to other staff.

Strictly follow Refineries rules and regulations and PTW Procedure.

Organize emergency drills and exercises including Emergency evacuation.
