Informatica Developer
QDOBA Mexican Eatery is a chain restaurant and caterer that specializes in customizable Mexican food. Their Data Warehouse extracts data from a sales analytics solution which consumes data from different POS files. The data coming in from these POS files had multiple issues with data inconsistencies, performance and excessive space utilization. This project was to solve these issues by optimizing the solution at all three levels: Database, ETL and Reporting System. .
Responsibilities:
Involved in understanding the business requirements, designing and loading the data into the data warehouse
Worked extensively with Informatica Power Center
Worked with both Active and Passive Transformations
Worked on loading data from multiple sources like Flat Files, Oracle DB
Extensively worked with Slowly Changing Dimensions
Created SQL queries, Indexes, Packages, Functions, Procedures, Views, and Database Triggers.
Involved in Performance Tuning of new and existing mappings/sessions at the Mapping Level and Session Level
Extensively worked on performance tuning of Lookups
Worked with reusable objects like Re-Usable Transformation and Mapplets
Extensively worked with aggregate functions and performance tuning of Aggregator Transformation
Involved in handling various loads and troubleshooting of errors that were encountered
