CAREER HISTORY

Position: Rigger at EXXARO Grootegeluk Coal Mine (Ellisras) : 2015 to date

Compliance of rigging studies including comprehensive analysis and assessment in identifying potential risks; either by usage of mathematical calculations and extensive planning outcomes.

Identify appropriate high safety procedures to follow, SOP’s etc. in ensuring all risks identified are mitigated to an acceptable tolerance

Lifting and moving of heavy objects and equipment ranging from 1 ton to 100 ton.

Tandem lifting – moving and rotating objects with two mobile cranes.

Supervising and management daily of mobile cranes.

Regular plant maintenance and usage of overhead cranes in the plant.

Usage of lifting equipment including slings (steel wire ropes and nylon), chain blocks, lever weights etc.

All related administrative tasks.

Accurate tie knots processes learnt.

General maintenance to heavy lifting equipment; loading and offloading.

Maintenance on Komatsu Hall Packs, Caterpillar front end loaders 9914 and associate motor vehicle parts.

Planned equipment maintenance as per specification and maintenance schedules.

Emergency Diesel Mechanical breakdown / repairs.
