JOB FUNCTION:

Ensure utilization and production output of machines and minimum down time and production loss.

Assisting the Boilermaker in ensuring the Department runs at maximum efficiency and utilization through correct work load schedules.

Ordering of related materials and equipment relevant to maintenance requirements in conjunction with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager with the view to optimum cost and delivery.

Electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance of all plant equipment.

The ability to use machines necessary to perform the required function.

Ensure that all steam and pipe work/layouts within the plant are within the requirements relevant to Maintenance requirements.

Repair and maintenance to all cranes and hoist facilities relevant to production requirements.

Inspection and problem solving of machines and equipment.

Ensure all data relative to machine down time costs and equipment are accurately reflected and recorded on a daily time sheet.

Communicate and confer with all departments and vendors regarding matters of mutual concern relative to Maintenance.

Ensuring that all necessary records regarding cranes and slings are correct and valid.

Work according to Maintenance Procedures, i.e. a job card for each job at all times.

Adherence of all HSE and housekeeping requirements.

General Maintenance – Including general welding jobs (building of small trolleys, welding of Scoop buckets, welding of drill rig booms etc.)
