Description

Composites play a vital role in various industries in terms of structural and functional components which has replaced the conventional material. Composites manufacturing has evolved a lot over the year. From the traditional hand layup process to advanced process such as vacuum assisted resin transfer moulding as a method for the manufacture of advanced fiber reinforced composites material is attractive because it offer the possibility of lower manufacturing cost and more complex shapes the traditional method .A study was carried out to evaluate the process feasibility of resin transfer moulding using the VARTM machine built mechanical characterization of traditional hand layup v/s VARTM sample have been carried out understand the process gain and limitation
