Job Description
To provide general physical, psychological, emotional care to patients to meet the gaol of total patient care towards prevention, detection, treatment, rehabilitation and health education.
Takes accurately vital sign, observes significant changes and informs physician about patient condition.
Receives checks, prepares and administers medication, parenteral injections and treatment accurately.
Identify and implement plan to meet primary patient’s dialysis needs peritoneal dialysis treatment
Educate, train, and provide instruction for home dialysis patients and their home helpers
Identify patient problems and take corrective action
Maintain contact with patients at home to ensure that they are receiving proper care and attention
Provide appropriate intervention during an emergency situation
Provide primary patient teaching in the areas of: Fluid and electrolyte balances, Dietary restrictions, Laboratory values, Patient medications, peritoneal dialysis procedures
