Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government Polytechnic College –nagercoil. Year of Pass: Aug / 2008

EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:

Preparation revise QA/AC Procedure like Quality Plan, material control consumable control, Welding NDT, PWHT, Testing, coating, Calibrations etc. to suit client’s requirement/specifications and submit for approval varies equipment’s for bulk material handling Project.

Perform Pre Inspection Meeting at initial project stage for review of purchase Order and requirements.

Inspection of Raw materials (Plates,pipes,Flanges,channel,angle,H-beems,Bolt,Nuts and welding consumables etc…) and review the material test certificate MTC as per material code and client specification.

Familiar reading/review of GA & fabrication drawings and interpreting welding symbols.

Coordination with client’s inspector for inspection of hold and witness point.

Monitoring and witnessing of all the welding related activities (before, during and after) as per client approved quality plan. Quality control procedure, approved GA drawings, and client specification etc. Perform stage wise inspection of heavy fabrication, sheet metal and machining as per ITP and approved GA drawings etc...

Witness of PMI test, Hardness test, tensile test, bend test, impact test, microscopic examination and review of all the test reports according to applicable standard, client approved procedure and project specification.

Monitor and witness of welding parameters for the process such as SMAW,GMAW,GTAW&SAW

Review of daily welding reports, weld summary, PWHT report and chart.

Preparing and review to WPS,PQR and welder qualification test for a lot of test

Developing and maintaining quality plans of designated project work.

Reviewing work procedure for quality content.

The full awareness of AWS, ASTM and EN Codes and other related standards welding/Testing of materials.

Following the post weld heat treatment for different materials and preparing the required cycle for each one

Visual inspection of Fit-up and welding.

Dimension and Final inspection of fabricated and machined items.

Review of supplier drawings, reports, procedure and documents such as all NDT reports, WPS, PQR, WPQ weld map NDE operator Qualification, PWHT report and chart, manufacturing data book etc…

Raising NCR wherever necessary and ensure that these are auctioned.

Blasting and painting inspection of various Fabricated products by using magnetic dry film gauge and calibrating with the approved / standard DFT gauges during blasting, priming, mid and final coat stages and maintaining the records for all the stages of inspection.

Blasting and Painting equipment conditions are monitored and Painting instrument working condition and calibration date keep in updating, Maintained relevant documents in quality manner at all times.

Before blasting and Painting environmental conditions were checked and verified and recorded,(Surface temperature, Air temperature,Dew point and RH% )

Before blasting surface conditions were checked, after blasting surface preparation cleanness were checked according client requirements with international standard specifications

Paint materials self-life verified and every receiving material, Paints mixing ratio and pot life verified, Before paint application paint system verified according to client requirements

During the Painting application Wet film thickness checked with comb gauge and controls the quality of the job.
