As a controller, supervise a staff of 6, and provide specific guidance in cost accounting and budgeting. Shortly after coming on board, discovered where manufacturing variances were not reported properly and directed the procedures be changed to post labor hours on a daily basis. Drove the move from a 10 day close to 5 at month end. Prepared the annual business plan for an entity with 3 separate SBUs: manufacturing, services, and agriculture.
