Miller Transfer, Northridge, CA June 2016 to June 2017
Terminal & Regional Sales Manager
Miller Transfer and Rigging Company “Miller Transfer” began in 1968 after the purchase of the operating rights and property from Miller Transfer & Storage. Today Miller Transfer produces over $50 million in annual revenue and boasts one of the largest fleets which can haul shipments from 1,000 pounds to over 320,000 pounds. We offer flatbeds, double drops as well as multiple specialty trailers.
Was initially hired to fill an open operations position, quickly rose to Terminal Manager and eventually added the responsibility of Regional Sales Manager. Covered the 11 Western states and introduced the multi faceted capabilities of Miller Transfer’s heavy haul services. Miller Transfer is an asset based company, however my role did include the management and use of a significant fleet of qualified broker carrier partners.

NK America, Torrance, CA 2014 to 5/2016
Senior Manager
The NK Logistics group consists of the parent company established in Japan in 1953, several global offices/ warehouses, the Ohio U.S. headquarters and the Los Angeles office. Collectively the company produces over $1 billion in annual revenue.
The Los Angeles office was opened in 2012 and has been consistently under-performing since its inception. I was brought on in early 2014 to restore profitability, improve operating efficiencies, cut costs and to establish variably consistent revenue streams.
FDSI Logistics, Westlake Village, CA 2012 to 2013
Director of National Accounts
FDSI Logistics is a non-asset based 3PL that specializes in third party freight management programs in the Healthcare, Education, Utility and Industrial sectors. A privately held company, annual revenues were estimated in the $200-$300 million range.
Brought on board to primarily secure and implement FDSI’s first freight management program in the Higher Education sector. Initiated and designed the new strategies, presentations and marketing campaigns essential to construct superior Freight Management solutions for a very distinct client base. At the time of my hire, FDSI had invested 2 years of unsuccessful sales efforts to penetrate this market.
Ramped up participation in the national conventions such as the National Education Purchasing Associations (NAEP). Took the campaign directly to the schools with on and offsite meetings with several high powered purchasing groups such as: LSU, Stanford, UVA, U of Pittsburg, Lehigh Valley, U of New Orleans, Cal State, U of Texas, Texas State, U of Phoenix and the U of Nebraska. Represented FDSI at the Baseball Winter League convention in to promote freight management concepts customized for minor league baseball organizations.
West Coast Logistics, Inglewood, CA 2008 - 2012
Director of Sales & Operations
Brought on board during the depressed economies of 2008, to launch this diverse start-up 3PL company to develop the United States distribution for its import container operation. Included all facets of supply chain solutions, port drayage, trans-loads, warehousing and distribution.
Entrusted with full responsibility for P&L, I set out to incrementally lead the company through some lean start-up times in 2008. Recognizing the need for an immediate, concerted, multi-faceted sales effort, I created a commission -friendly sales environment. Results: Annual revenues topped out at $2 million at the EOY 2012
