Ducab HV is the first dedicated high voltage (60kV – 150kV) and extra high voltage (220kV – 500kV) power cable manufacturing facility in the Middle East. Key Responsibilities:

Test and inspection

Electrical testing on medium voltage and High voltage (11kV,33kV,66kV,110kV,132kV, 220kV

& 400kV) cables (As per IEC, BS or with respect to relevant specifications & client spec.)

Non electrical/Polymer tests on cables (TGA test, Ageing test, DSC, Moisture content test, Compatibility test, screen resistivity test, Hot set test, UTS & EAB test, Shrinkage test, Glycerol test etc.. )

Type test on High volt (up to 400KV), medium volt cables and cable systems including Lightning Impulse & Switching impulse test.

Handling Electrical and non electrical Type test with third party (KEMA, DEKRA,SGS etc..) and clients inspection team

Coordinate and execute the preparation of High volt cable jointing, Outdoor Termination, Oil terminations and GIS terminations

Qualification tests for HV Cables and systems (HV cable joint, Outdoor termination & Oil termination)

Ensure that all related inspection and testing activities with regards to Environment, Health & Safety procedures and maintenance rules are respected.

Handling the inspections (FAT) with clients and contractors

Generating the test certificates

Preparation of test reports and submitting with in specified time Quality Assurance

Preparation of Quality plan(QP) and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedure

Raising NCR (Non Conformity Report), Near Miss Report, Quality Observation Report.

Ensuring compliance to Quality, health and safety plans such as QHSE rules.

Documentation of calibration reports of the testing equipment’s and factory machines

Ensuring the raw materials used in different processing stages are as per the recommended standard and within the specified grade

Make sure that the sample test in each stage of operation is done according to the international standards and customer requirement; and verify all the results are within the spec.

Process trial analysis

Dealing with notifications regarding any variation from the specified specs, take Decision, check with cause and corrective action.
