Oversee all distribution center functions which include daily order fulfillment and QC operations. Hire and train union and temp staff as needed, manage budget for hiring, negotiated rates with multiple agencies resulted in $75,000 save in flex labor cost. Manage transportation delivery contracts; negotiate contracts with selection of LTL carriers via RFP Protocol, achieved $250,000 savings in the first 18 months of new “flex time” contracts. Work with MIS Support to ensure all operations systems are monitored through shop floor metrics, reduced flex labor headcount by identification of redundant job functions. Manage secondary facilities in similar pick pack, ship activities. Ensure all customer metrics are maintained, (24 hour ship), on-time guidelines are followed for seamless deliveries. Minimize compliance fines and charge-backs with development of supplier compliance library used by corporate and supplier access, slashed charge backs by $250,000 in the first 12 months of implementation. Success of library prompted Austrian parent to implement same process.
