Camping World is the largest source for RV’s in the country. In addition, the company offers camping accessories,

RV rentals, and RV maintenance and repairs. Annual Sales more than 5.0 Billion Dollars. Camping World acquired

Gander Mountain and Overton’s (marine accessories) in May 2017.

oGander Outdoors Distribution Center, Indianapolis, IN. 705,000 square foot operation. 125 heads.

oOverton’s Distribution Centers, Greenville, NC. 2 locations, 500,000 square foot operation. Up to 100 heads.

Key Responsibilities

oLead all Distribution and Logistics functions to support retail store locations. Camping World: 90 stores in 2013 to 140 stores in April 2018. Gander Outdoors 1 store in December 2017 to 30 in April 2018.

oLead the rapidly expanding Direct-to Consumer mail order channels. Camping World ending March 2018 +30% YOY in order volume with over 100 Million in Sales.

oLead and mentor the following direct reports: Director of Distribution Operations, Director of Supply Chain, Director of Global Logistics and 5 Distribution Center Managers.

oResponsible for P&L Budget for all sites including Logistics/Freight.

oResponsible for P&L performance with a Continuous improvement focus.

oResponsible for all Cap-Ex Budgets, justifications, and execution.

Key Accomplishments

oNegotiated parcel carrier contract resulting in converting to a new carrier that will result in a projected savings of over 12 Million dollars over the next 3 years.

oImplemented Intermodal freight program for intra-company transfers (vs OTR) resulting in savings over 1 Million dollars in less than 2 years.

oProject Managed the opening of the Dallas DC. Sourced and negotiated the building lease. Added a 3.5 Million dollar picking module system. Staffed, stocked, and opened the building for operation in < 12 months.

oPartnered with 3PL Logistics company for LTL and TL movements. Logistics budget approaching 50MM. Cost avoidance of 2 internal heads to support Logistics growth.

oProgram Manager for the implementation of a new ERP system in Camping World and later Gander and Overton’s.

oLead the growth efforts to support the CW retail store growth along with the expanding Direct to Consumer Channel.

oLead the efforts to end the Gander Mountain Distribution Operations and start-up the Gander Outdoors operations.

oAdded Camping World DTC volume to the Greenville locations.

oSignificant contributor to ensuring that the Distribution Centers were SOX Compliant after the company went public.

Director of Distribution Jul 2013 –Dec 2014

Changed the culture and improve the morale of the workforces of the two existing distribution centers and positioned them for the coming growth.

Key Accomplishments

oReorganized and removed/added Management heads were necessary.

oImplemented incentive programs, pay programs, numerous policies and procedures resulting in increased morale, increased output and performance. Employee turnover went from 30-40% per month to less than 10% consistently.

oFacilitated several Kaizen events to improve processes. Example – 67% of direct to consumer orders (about 1,000 per day at the time in Franklin) shipped in 24 hours or less to 98.5% after Kaizen event.

oImplemented 6S program resulting in a safer work environment that fostered increased morale and output.

Medline is America’s largest privately held national manufacturer and distributor of health care supplies and services. The SPT Division manufactures custom disposable sterile surgical kits.

Director of Operations-SPT Plant 2011-Jun 2013

oResponsible for the manufacturing, warehousing and facility maintenance operations for the largest division of the company. (Divisional sales exceeding 1 Billion, company sales exceeding 7 Billion.)

oKit- packing operations include two Class 10,000 Clean Rooms Manufacturing 15,000 – 20,000 custom disposable surgical kits/day.

oPrimary warehouse 240,000 Square feet including a 3 -story order picking module with integrated conveyor system. Five primary offsite warehouses and up to 7 offsite warehouses for raw material storage. Maintained controlled areas for pharmaceutical drugs.

oRecruit, develop, and retain an effective workforce. Total headcount has exceeded 550 on average with close to 700 at peak times. Direct reports include Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and Coordinators. Indirect reports include Engineering Staff and Lean Manufacturing Manager.

oHeavily supported Supply Chain activities including Reorder Buying, Production Control, and scheduling.

oFocus on Lean Manufacturing through Kaizen events, Simple Kaizen program, and 6S. Promote continuous improvement culture.

oResponsible for P&L Budget for all sites.

oResponsible for all Cap-Ex Budgets, justifications, and execution.

oProvide direction and support to our Mexico Manufacturing location.

oI Started the Divisional “Green Team” in December 2011 as initiative to achieve ISO 14001 certification. Scope included development of program to recycle plastics from picking bags and vendor packaging. We are now recycling 2,500-3,000 lbs. Per week. This complements our recycling of 8,000 lbs. of corrugate per day.

oEnsured all procedures were QS and ISO compliant.

oManage the Receiving, Inventory Control, Order Picking, Setup Room, Shipping, Piggyback, Returns, Salvage, and Facility Maintenance Operations.
