Summary

There’s nothing like watching a project grow and come to completion; the joy, the stress, the revelations, the tears all wrapped up into an experience that can be shared. I enjoy the challenge of writing or translating a compelling story into the visual medium and then presenting it to an audience. There’s always room to grow so feedback is as important to me as it is to continue moving forward. Whether it is for work or personal use, I produce art every day, I learn something new when I am presented with a problem and I give back what I can to my community. My free time is spent offering affordable comic book and illustration classes to kids at my local community center. I self-publish two comic book series and sell them at comic conventions. My work hours are filled with projects from illustrating and providing print layout for children’s books to turning around pitch boards for a company’s presentation at the drop of a hat because I have the reputation of being reliable. When I’m not working, I enjoy a bucket of home-made popcorn and a good horror movie, watching cartoons, or venturing out to find another addition to my modest Plastic Man collection. I am also a proud, registered tribe member of the Cherokee Nation. Experience

As an instructor for Freshi Media I work with kids from 7-15. I currently teach Video Game Design using Multimedia Fusion 2 software to teach kids logic based coding and video game development. I also teach an App design class which shows students how to design basic app games using MFA. My animation class uses Anime Studio to teach kids the basics of animation. As onsite support I entered their peak season as a liaison between Adecco and Hot Topic. My biggest achievement was working with the recruiter to adjust the hiring process so that it could be run by a team of two, versus a team of eight saving the company thousands of dollars. While onsite I adjusted the orientation process, designed a helpful and informative brochure to give employees and ensure their success, built several excel worksheets to keep track of employee attendance and helped incorporate and execute employee incentives. While there I worked with the building manager and supervisors to assure everything was in order which included payroll, attendance, coaching, enforcing policies and terminations.

I created storyboards and layout boards used to pitch the game. My designs were examples of what the game would look like to investors and are being used by game developers as a reference while building the mobile game based off the martial arts sequel. OA II at City of Riverside

While assisting the City of Riverside I worked in the DPSS office. My duties included reviewing customer applications and answering questions they may have and scanning important documentation in the public office a few days out of the week. In the main office I assisted in processing returned mail by reaching out to customers and providing information. Alongside these duties I helped organize events such as 'Bring your Child to Work Day' where I provided a comic book demonstration for the older kids and coordinated unit meetings where I covered safety concerns and upcoming events.
