Project Lead Analyst worked closely with the business doing JAD sessions, and managed IT applications with implementations of a number of underwriting product offerings under aggressive timelines, requiring redesigning, analysis, coding, testing and implementation of Web (Visual Basic/HTML) and mainframe (CICS/COBOL) applications. Expedited deliverables of new products allowing the business to remain competitive in a volatile market.
Instrumental in driving and supporting the company’s transition from legacy applications into the client server technologies for the underwriting team using VB, HTML, and XML supported by Oracle databases incorporating Six Sigma DMAIC business model. Coded CICS, COBOL and VB programs and maintained a multiple platform environment with a GUI Visual Basic frontend and Oracle utilizing a middle tier structure with COBOL, XML and MQ to load the DB2 and VSAM databases to continue support of the backend legacy applications.
