Staff New Product Introduction/Manufacturing Engineer

• Install new Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly lines to drive down the setup time and increase the number of jobs by 150%. Factory capacity increased 80% by installing new equipment, organize the work flow and expand the facility. New equipment enables advanced designs with smaller passive components and stacked active components.

• Utilize AutoCAD layout tools for factory move planning. Coordinate equipment delivery, equipment movers, electricians and network installers. Dispose of excess and obsolete equipment. Work with health and safety engineers to insure regulatory compliance

• Replace manual soldering of through-hole components with 3 automated selective solder systems. Reduce delivery time by 95%. Return on investment (ROI) of 7 months. Install batch cleaning for Circuit Card Assembly (CCA).

• Rapid production schedule updates to forecast the factory headcount model. Work with production managers and supervisors to anticipate headcount requirements.

• Technical support of all Post-SMT CCA processes: selective solder, rework, cleaning, press fit and depaneling.

Provide process documentation and operator training to insure safe and effective use of the equipment. Follow IPC-A-610 standards for manufacturing quality.
