Worked as Operating Engineer in Quality Control Department of company’s manufacturing plant at Chakkan Industrial Area.

• National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), Abu Dhabi, U.A.E From 12/06/2012 till now

Working as Electronics Technician onshore fabrication yard and onboard offshore barges, providing technical assistance to the Asset Integrity department for the past Four and Half years.

Main Tasks:

vConduct site inspection and co-ordinate with sub-contractors’ engineers and supervisors regarding electronic installation work as per approved drawings, plans/layout requirements.

vEnsures work is completed within set time frames and to required safety standards.

vReviews supplier quotations to ensure compliance specifications and their commercial impact.

vProvides information on cost associated with the provision of project technical support service.

vEnsure that all equipment required for the execution of projects is available in good condition and ready on time for handover to logistics for relocation.

vMonitor third party performance and progress.

vUpdating Inventory of equipment, spare parts and technical books.

vPreparation of Inspection report during mobilization and demobilization of vessels.

vPreparation of daily Progress Reports, Commissioning Reports, Calibration Reports, Radio License forms and maintenance schedule..

vPreparation As built drawing for new installations/modifications if any.

Onshore:

vCarry out and execute all required daily/weekly/monthly, 6 month and yearly preventive maintenance for all communication, Navigational, Industrial and control equipment to ensure proper and efficient operation.

vPerforms calibration of test equipment such as flow meters, flow analyzers, digital thermometers, Coating thickness meters, holiday detectors, jeep meters, analog & digital multi-meters, process meters, avo-meters, Insulation testers, scope meters, Oscilloscope, DC power supplies, frequency counters, RF watt meters, Decade resistance boxes, Decade box capacitors and Multi-function calibrators using the Fluke Calibrator Model 5522A,5500A and Motorola Communication Analyzer.

Offshore:

vCarry out the preventive maintenance of all communication, Navigational, Industrial and control equipment necessary for continuous, efficient, economical and safe operation of vessels.

vAnalyze and diagnose different problems and faults and estimate optimum solution in short time in order to minimize break down time.

vImplementation of the planned maintenance program as per manufacturer instructions.

vTo do the installation and commissioning of field instruments.

vOperating and maintenance of PLC controlled pipe laying equipment such as Remacut and Westech Pipe Tensioner machines during offshore pipe laying operations.

vMaintain and troubleshoot Vermaat Technics Computerized Automatic welding equipment during offshore pipeline jobs.

vMaintain all Radio and Satellite communication Equipment like Sailor GMDSS HF/SSB Radios, Sailor VHF Radios, Motorola & Kyodo Walkie-Talkies, Becker Aircraft Radios, Marine sound powered telephone, Tellular GSM mobile Telephone, Thrane & Thrane Sailor FBB-150 and FBB-250 systems, Marine VSAT System, Seatel TVRO system, Ship Motion Control system during offshore pipe lay, hook-ups, tie-ins, float-over and riser jobs.

vMaintain all Navigational and Safety equipment like Digital and Analog Gyro compass, Echo sounder, GPS Navigator, Doppler speed log, Southern Avionics Non-directional Helibeacon, EPIRB, SART, Navtex Receiver, Wind Indicators and Emergency Radios during offshore pipe lay, hook-ups, tie-ins, float-over and riser jobs.
