Project Title: WebRTO

Designation: Team Lead & Senior Software Developer

The WebRTO is a Central Data Warehouse and Market Interface system used to interact with Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) also called Energy Markets. This product Extract & Transform & Load all the market operational data into OATI Data warehouse. It also provides real time communication (aka Energy Trading). A regional transmission organization (RTO) in the United States is an electric power transmission system operator (TSO) which coordinates, controls and monitors a multi-state electric grid. WebRTO provides interface to all major Energy Markets which includes IESO, CAISO, SPP, MISO, NYISO, PJM, ISONE & Mexico.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Analyzing the RTO Markets Future Release docs and reviewing the changes made in their API’s, GUI, FTP or other tools.

•Requirement Analysis and Effort Hours estimation. Creating and assigning to tasks to Developers after getting approval from Product Owner.

•Development Role

Creating SSIS packages to extract data from Markets webservices.

Writing code to interact with market APIs for Real time communication using ASP.NET C#.

Creating database design, Stored Procedures & SQL queries to bulk upload data.

Optimizations SQL procedures & queries.

Creating GUI using HTML/JavaScript/CSS, jQuery and Ajax to create GUI.

Creating WCF webservices to allow other products fetch data from WebRTO.

OATI web Intelligence helps energy traders gather, organize, display, and analyze data, understand trends and correlations in Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP), and even forecast future events to better conduct their business. This product puts users in the driver’s seat, letting them create custom tabular or graphic reports based on any data in the system. OATI web Intelligence also offers a built-in advanced forecasting service to predict LMPs based on historical data or forecasted loads. Using meter and weather data, OATI web Intelligence will automatically export the forecasted value to an external system (such as OATI web Trader). OATI web Intelligence can also be configured to automatically import data into the database, or users can upload their own data through a web service.

•Creating and optimizing SQL procedures to fetch data efficiently from server.
