Examples of Solutions Developed and Implemented

Led the services component of a large sales pursuit team and closed a 6-year $66M enterprise wide managed services agreement for MetLife Insurance Company from conceptualization to contract signature. As transition manager, I worked with the delivery managers in each of the engaged locations. I reviewed the SOW requirements and the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with each district manager, identified and approved their delivery staffing and implementation plans. I completed a comprehensive transition to the steady state program manager. This win is very profitable and solidified HPE as a strategic partner with MetLife moving forward.

Successfully managed the complete lifecycle of new sales opportunities through contract signature and renegotiated renewal agreements for both national and complex global projects for Fortune 100 clients. These projects included:

-Upgraded the credit card technology at 1055 gas stations and convenience stores located in the US for the Hess Petroleum Company. As an IT manager working with sales, I was responsible for the business development and overall profitability of the projects being implemented in the NY Metro area. My team consisted of both presales and delivery specialist for service based engagements. In developing the solution, I offered to assist Hess in benchmarking and streamlining their on-site technical procedures. This strategy helped HP reduce its solution price while building the trust and favor of the Hess management team. HP was awarded the contract which I then program managed. I separated the US into four geographies and assigned project managers to be responsible for the delivery and staffing and site audits in each area. This project was implemented on time, highly profitable and with a high degree of customer satisfaction from the Hess management team and the internal sales organization.

-Improved corporate communications with new servers and office equipment at 4 locations in three countries at Christies Auction House. I designed this solution and project managed its successful completion. Since this implementation plan consisted of many on-site business constraints imposed by Christie’s management, I personally traveled to Europe to oversee its successful and profitable implementation.

-Similar to the previous solution designs, I developed and priced the following solutions and program managed their implementation. I applied effective strategies to these solutions to mitigate risk and priced solutions effectively through P&L creation/analysis to reach gross margin and profitability objectives. I grouped the US into geographies and assigned project managers to be responsible for the delivery and technical staffing in each area. These projects were implemented on time and with a high degree of satisfaction with each customer and the internal sales organization. The deliverables of these projects consisted of upgrading software and replacing servers, workstations and printers at 220 locations for AT&T, 200 branches at Smith Barney and 797 Adecco employment offices in the US.

I was selected to be part of a highly specialized team of Business Analysts to implement HPE’s new “Infrastructure as a Service” programs. I supported the “As a Service” focused sales pursuit team. I acquired a specialized expertise in developing business solutions utilizing a technology consumption utility model. This approach gives customers the opportunity to have an on premise cloud like service while achieving a reduction in technology over provisioning costs and an opportunity to change their financial accounting treatment from a capital expense to an operating expense. I was the only Business Analyst selected for training in Europe for a new “Backup as a Service” program and became the North America single point of contact for this solution. These “Pay as you Grow” consumption models consisted of technologies involving networking, storage and compute based solutions.

Some examples of these solutions are as follows:

-At DXC Technologies, a large managed services company, I developed a business focused solution and closed a $2M multi-vendor Data Center “Networking as a Service” program, at Memorial Health, a large hospital, I closed a 5 year Data Center “Storage as a Service” program and at UBS, a large global bank, I closed a “Compute as a Service” program.
