This Project is a client/Server based Dealer management system written in PowerBuilder 12.5. EQUIP runs at the dealers side and help them to maintain their day to day activity like sales, inventory, Customer and vendor information, Barcode inventory updates, workshop and stock units, EQUIP interact with the other Dealer application using web services to read and update the data. This application also runs few of the programs silently overnight for processing the nightly jobs. There are business files which comes from third party in flat files. We load these files using INFORMATICA ETL Process. We understand the business requirement, apply the business logic in ETL Process to load data into EQUIP database.

Duties:

Mix of Tech lead, onsite coordinator, production support and developer for EQUIP, interacting with the business analyst, product owners and communicating the same to offshore team in India, estimating the Big enhancements, managing other administrative task including development. Purpose of Capstone project is to change three major Custom applications developed in PowerBuilder into SharePoint Technology. This is not a migration project. In this project, three applications developed in PowerBuilder are getting developed in SharePoint technology. Master data would be setup in SAP BW, CRM & MDM. Master data from SAP will be transferred to Oracle through ETL jobs using Informatica.

My role is to enhance Transshipment & License process for Custom application (STARS) already developed in PowerBuilder. This application will still run in PowerBuilder. Due to change in the new process, requirement came to change the existing logic in PowerBuilder application.

Developed 5 major screens in STARS applications using PowerBuilder 9.0 with Oracle & UNIX Shell scripting.

Data flow and their analysis in existing application and mapping them with Capstone database like Bottler mapping with legacy system to Capstone system.

Code change in the Oracle objects like stored procedure, Package & Tables.

U.S. Foodservice currently runs their IT Applications on two different systems, P-system: Primarily on IBM Mainframe and A-system: Comprises of Tandem (mostly SCOBOL and COBOL85 applications), IBM Mainframe (mostly IBM Cobol, CICS, Ideal and Datacom DB applications) and PowerBuilder (version 6.0 applications) as front end. U.S. Foodservice has identified “Best of Both” functionalities / “Key Differentiators” on these systems and is currently in the process of implementing these functionalities on the A-system. Responsible for the design and development of a client- server application production system consisting of three modules.

Core Module: Core Module is having all the definition of the documents used in the ERP like

Voucher Definitions: - Defining voucher types,its Document Serial No. types etc

Sales Definitions: - Defining Sales Related Definition, like Stock, its sales products, sales document types, its serial no type etc.

Planning Definitions: - Defining BOM, Planning types etc.

Master Definitions: - Master Defines the types on one screen i.e. at a moment you may define the entire master Document like Party, Sub ledger, Account, Customer. Except Definition, you may search particular Documents, change the existing Definition etc.

Planning Module: This is the most complicated modules in the Reckoner ERP, having facility to plan the business, processing the business to achieve the Profit, routing the Business etc

Planning definition: Define Planning types, serial types.

Various Reports: Various reports like Planning summary, Planning browser reports.

Sales Module: This module handles the sales activity in the business process. it gives the information of the selling activity to the Business. This contain the information like

Quotation Entry and Browser: Quotation of the finished products their selling cost.

Sales Entry and Browser: Entry of the Sales, like Customer to whom user is selling sales products, their amount and the selling prices. This generates the Sales Order.

Sales Invoice: Generating the Sales Invoice of the sales order.

Reports- Various Reports that gives the sales information like Sales Summary Reports, Customer-wise Sales Reports, Territory Wise Sales Reports, and Suppliers Wise Sales Reports etc. Query Viewer is the tool developed in PowerBuilder which gives the Query’s Result. Developers or Implementers gives the Query to the end user that he/she puts the query in to these tools and get the result of the query. This is the fastest solution to the get the information that we get through the various reports.

These modules help in keeping track of order details; destination details, quality and customer information, and details of scheduled delivery of partially or completely filled orders.
